In June 2018, after 16 years as a Senior Travel Manager, I was called into a conference room and told I was being let go. The company was downsizing. I sat there and cried, thinking, what am I going to do? I had given everything to that job. Nights, weekends, holidays, 24-hour stretches. I had saved them millions of dollars. And in the end, none of it mattered.

I couldn't find work in my field, so I took two part-time minimum wage jobs, up at 6am for one, then straight to the other until 10pm, six days a week. All while caring for both of my parents, who had dementia, and trying to hold everything together on my own.

"I was exhausted. I wanted my life back. That's when I made a decision: I had to stop surviving and start rebuilding."

Then I lost my mother, my best friend. A year later, my father. I was grieving, exhausted and starting over at an age when most people said I should be winding down, not building up. But I didn't let any of that stop me.

I started learning how to build income online, step by step, without a tech background, without pretending I had it all figured out. And slowly, everything began to change.
